Frequently Asked Questions

  • Life coaching is a forward-focused practice. Rather than exploring the past, coaching concentrates on where you are now and where you want to go. It is not a clinical service and does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions. If you're also working with a therapist, coaching can complement that work — many clients find value in both.

  • If you're in the middle of a transition — or anticipating one — and you want more clarity, direction, or accountability, coaching is likely a good fit. You don't need to have it figured out to get started. In fact, uncertainty is often the best starting point.

  • Sessions are one hour and held virtually via video call. They are conversational in structure — part reflection, part problem-solving, part planning. Sessions are confidential, and you set the agenda based on where you are that week.

  • Most clients engage for three to six months, depending on the nature of their transition and their goals. Some find value in shorter engagements; others continue longer. Frequency and duration are always shaped around what's most useful for you.

  • Yes, entirely. The discovery call is a 30-minute conversation — no commitment required — where you can share where you are, ask any questions, and get a sense of whether working together feels like the right fit. There's no pressure involved.

  • All sessions are held virtually, so geography is not a barrier. ESP Coaching welcomes clients from all over the world.
